What are my options?

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures fit between your remaining natural teeth. This type of denture typically replaces one or a few missing teeth.

Full Dentures

Full dentures replace an entire upper or lower set of teeth. This type of denture is typically removable.

Implant-supported Dentures

This hybrid approach to dentures works by placing 4, 6, or 8 implants and securing a denture on top.

Payment Info

Wearing removable dentures can take some getting used to. Initially, dentures can feel a little strange in your mouth, but this will pass with time.

You may also experience a small change in your speech, excessive salivation, and different taste with new dentures. Again, this all usually goes away over time. If it continues, contact The Tooth Experience and tell us what’s wrong.

Helpful suggestions to help you adjust to a new denture:

  • To adjust to chewing with new denture implants, start with soft foods and work up to harder ones. Chew on both sides.
  • Eat with your back teeth, so you don’t dislodge your dentures.
  • Use adhesives until you can control your tongue and lips.
  • You may have gum soreness as you adjust to your new dentures. If you develop a sore spot, rinse your mouth with warm salt water and return to us for adjustments.

Clean them daily with a soft brush and soap and water, or denture cleaning products. Brush on both sides to eliminate bacteria. When you take your dentures out at night, soak them in water or a denture cleaner.

You should replace them every five to seven years. Visit us regularly so we can check your denture’s fit, offer denture care and hygiene suggestions, and assess any potential issues.

Traditional dentures are removable. They also take time to get used to, limit what you can eat, and offer no support for your jawbone. If you’re missing many teeth, we may recommend an implant-supported option to ensure the long-term health of your jaw and an improved lifestyle.
