When the teeth whitening gel comes into contact with tooth stains on your enamel, it breaks the chemical bonds that hold stains onto your teeth. This “bleaches” them away, leaving your teeth a natural, brilliant shade of white.
No. Teeth whitening cannot remove internal stains caused by a dental health concern. If this is the case, other cosmetic treatments, like fillings, crowns, or dental veneers may be recommended.
We typically don’t recommend teeth whitening to pregnant or lactating women, children under 16 years of age, or those with allergic reactions to teeth bleaching whitening agents.
